BioTime has integrated biometric technology into an automated Time Clock, Attendance and Scheduling system.

Biometrics is the science and technology of measuring and statistically analyzing human body characteristics such as fingerprints, eye retinas and irises, voice patterns and facial patterns for authentication purposes. These devices have developed into a cost effective solution for absolute identity matching.

Fingerprint devices consist of a scanning device and software that converts the scanned information into digital form by identifying specific points known as ‘match points’, which can be compared to biometric data scanned and stored during the creation of the identity.

In time clock applications the use of biometric devices saves time – it is hard to loose a hand, whereas access cards have to be distributed or can be forgotten. There is less downtime spent looking for lost cards or printing new ones. It only takes seconds to punch the clock. Biometric devices serve as absolute identification, providing the assurance that the employees that are on site are the employees who clocked in.

Features

Clock in / Clock out using fingerprint identification device. Employees clock in / out using the BioTime fingerprint identification device. Employees are assigned a job description, which carries a security level for system operation.

View time cards
Employees are allowed to view their time cards for any week. No changing of course!

Pay periods
BTC allows for weekly, bi-weekly or bi-monthly pay periods

Overtime
BTC tracks overtime either on a per day or per week basis.

Departments
Employees are assigned to departments, all reporting may be done for selected departments, allowing you to track your payroll costs per department and per company.

Employee demographic information
Employee addresses, phone numbers, SSN, and other payroll information is stored and may be retrieved at any time. Employee phone number listing. BTC allows you to view an employee phone number listing – making it easy to find and call in employees you need to contact.

Edit time cards
As employees make mistakes, BioTime allows you to correct these mistakes via the time card edit program. Editing may only be done before the period is closed and posted.

Vacation / sick / bonus / advance tracking
Time card edit program allows you to enter vacation or sick times used and to enter bonuses and advances. These are reported on the pay period totals report, and vacation and sick times are tracked and reported.

Missed punches listing
Employees often forget to punch out. These missed punches may be reported for a selected time period.

Print time cards
Time cards may be printed when you wish. The printout lists all the details of the clock punches for the week.

Payroll period report
BioTime summarizes all payroll activity in the payroll period report, giving you one simple report with all the numbers you need to complete payroll.

Vacation / sick time report
Vacation and sick times may be listed for any employee or time period.
